Creating Better Lives and Futures for the People of Fairfield County

Tuesday, May 16, 2023
From Left to Right: Unified Customer Service Representative, Kimberly Beckett ; United Way of Fairfield County CEO Carrie Woody; Unified Retail Banking Executive & Area Sales Manager, Chanelle Baker; and Unified Customer Service Supervisor, Cherisse Rader.
The mission of the United Way of Fairfield County is to improve lives in Fairfield County by harnessing the power of their community to focus support on sustainable, relevant, and effective programs and agencies. Their vision is, “Every individual in Fairfield County has access to the services and resources they need to live a successful, fulfilling life.” Unified Bank respects that mission and vision to its core. Unified’s vision is “To create better lives and futures for the people and communities they proudly serve.” Believing in the community and the work of the United Way, each year, Unified Bank makes an annual monetary contribution to the United Way of Fairfield County.
Unified’s Downtown Lancaster banking center Team met with UWFC Chief Executive Officer Carrie Woody to present Unified’s annual gift of $1,500 to the United Way of Fairfield County. Though Unified financially supports United Way organizations in all of their regions, according to Unified President, Chairman, and CEO Scott Everson, “It is the efforts of our Unified Team Members that make the difference in our communities through the volunteer services and financial literacy programs they provide,” said Everson. “United Way organizations provide much-needed resources through their outreach programs, and we are pleased to support their efforts,” Everson added.
Unified specifies that their annual gift to the United Way of Fairfield County goes to helping the Maywood Community Outreach in their efforts to provide services to the community, including an emergency food pantry, thrift store, affordable daycare, financial assistance, and more.
Unified Retail Banking Executive & Area Sales Manager Chanelle Baker said, “As a mother, I can appreciate how challenging it can be to find affordable daycare and other necessary assistance for your family and children. No one should go hungry.” “I am glad to work for such a great company that makes it a point of their everyday life to help and support others,” added Baker.
“We are so grateful and thankful to have the support of Unified Bank both financially and through their volunteerism…” United Way CEO Carrie Woody said, “We wouldn’t be able to exist without caring businesses like Unified Bank to support our mission and vision.”
